"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Have you ever driven around in a neighborhood you did not know, without any direction, just aimless and not knowing where you were getting to? Do you ever feel that sometimes in life, you live each day without having a goal or purpose? That you’re just like a driftwood in the ocean, going wherever the current takes you?
Living a life without meaning can only lead to misery. The Bible teaches us that God created each and every one of us for a unique purpose...that our steps have been ordered by the Lord. We all have a destiny and every thing that we do in this life, has rewards or consequences in eternity. The path that you’re on...is it ordered by the Lord? Are you squandering the time that God has given you each day? Or are you using every minute wisely and with the ultimate goal that what ever you do will not only leave a mark on this world but will bring eternal rewards?
It is said, where your heart is, there your treasure will be also. Set your eyes on the things of God, walking in His will and purpose. Keep your heart fixed on finding purpose in this life and living it out each day to the best of your ability. You only find purpose when you first find God. C.S. Lewis said “Look for Christ and you will find Him. And with Him, everything else.”
If you have struggles finding out God’s plan for you just ask Him to give you a vision of your life and where He wants it to be. Work towards it, keep your focus and get on the right path.
Ask yourself the question, “What do I live for?” Are you living life just for wealth and riches, all of which remains on earth when you die? Or are you living life, making the best of what God has given you to serve, honor and point others to Him?
